HOW RUSH LEVEL WORKS
RUSH Level estimates a player's strength from rally results while accounting for who played with and against them on court.
Meaning
An internal player level
A new player starts at 3.00. After each calculated RUSH, the value changes within the 1.00 to 5.00 scale.
This is an internal RUSH TEAM TENNIS level, not an official tennis rating.
Expected
Lineups are compared on court
For every combination of players, the system compares the average Level of both sides and calculates the expected point share.
Expectation = 1 / (1 + 10(opponents' Level − team's Level) / 1.0). Equal lineups have a 50% expectation. A one-Level gap gives the stronger side an expectation of about 91%.
The calculation uses the levels recorded before the RUSH started, so later player growth does not change past results.
Change
Actual results are compared with expectations
If a side wins more than its expected share of points, Level rises. If it wins less, Level falls. Each lineup result is weighted by points played: a +2 counts as two points.
A win alone does not guarantee growth: the result relative to the strength of partners and opponents matters.
The first five RUSH events establish a new player's position faster. Level then changes more gradually. A short appearance matters less than a full match; the participation adjustment reaches its maximum after 40 rallies in one RUSH.
Confidence
Level becomes clearer through play
The number appears after the first calculated RUSH. Until a player has completed three RUSH events, 100 rallies, and faced eight opponents, it carries a ‘Calibrating’ label.
The label describes the amount of evidence only. It does not mean that the result is good or bad.
Form
Recent results against expectation
Average difference between actual and expected point share over the last three RUSH events. If fewer are available, all are used.
The value is shown in percentage points. A positive value means a result above expectation; a negative value means below expectation.
Formats
Overall, Singles, and Doubles
Overall RUSH Level includes every rally. The player page also calculates separate Singles and Doubles values.
Winners and errors describe performance separately but do not directly change Level. The rating uses only points won against the expectation for each lineup.
Comparison scope
Level works inside a connected player pool
RUSH Level compares players connected through shared partners and opponents. Until player pools in different cities overlap, their numbers cannot be treated as one absolute world scale.
The method is version 6. When the formula changes, the stored history is recalculated chronologically from the original rallies.

Every RUSH adds evidence to a player's history
The profile shows the current value immediately. The ‘Calibrating’ label disappears when enough evidence has been collected.
